Buying from a new chemical manufacturer

Taskon Industries was incorporated on 7 April 2025, so this is a question we expect to be asked, and one we would rather answer directly than avoid.

The short answer. A new manufacturer has no long record to show you, so judge it on what can be checked today: registrations on the government record, a real works address, documents for every batch, and willingness to confirm your specification in writing. Then start with a first order sized so that a problem would be survivable.

What a track record would have told you

Years of trading history tell a buyer three things: the business is real, it delivers, and its product stays consistent. A new manufacturer cannot show the history. It can show evidence for each of the three.

Is the business real?

Check the registrations on public government records rather than on the supplier’s website. Taskon Industries’ are listed below, with where each one can be checked.

These are the registrations on Taskon’s certificates and in the footer of every page. A buyer does not need to take our word for any of them; that is the point of checking.

Taskon is also recognised as a startup by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. That recognition confirms the company’s status as a startup; it is not a certification of product quality, and we do not present it as one.

Does it make what it sells?

Ask for the works address and which products are made there. Taskon manufactures at F-32 and F-33, Gallops Industrial Park-II, Sarkhej Bavla Road, N.H. 8A, Rajoda, Changodar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382213.

Will the product stay consistent?

No supplier of any size can prove the future. What protects you is the same for a new manufacturer as for an established brand: a written specification, a batch certificate of analysis for every consignment, a sealed reference sample, and a test on arrival. There is more on this in the sample passed but the bulk was different.

How small manufacturers compare with established brands

An established brand gives you a longer record. A smaller manufacturer often gives you shorter lines of communication and a direct conversation with the people who make the batch. Neither is automatically more consistent. Consistency is shown batch by batch, in documents you can check, and it is fair to ask any supplier, of any size, for the same documents.

Structuring a sensible first order

  • Verify the registrations before you ask for a quotation.
  • Send your full specification and get written confirmation against it.
  • Start with a quantity you could absorb if something went wrong, and tell the supplier the running quantity you expect if the first order goes well.
  • Test the first consignment on arrival against the specification and the certificate.
