Most enquiries take two or three exchanges before anyone can put a number on paper. Here is what to include so that yours does not.
Send four things: the product and grade, the quantity, the delivery location, and any specification you have to meet. With those we can usually price it in one reply.
Not just ‘zinc sulphate’ but which one. Several of the products we manufacture exist in more than one grade, and the difference is not marginal: zinc sulphate is published at 33% Zn as the monohydrate and 21% Zn as the heptahydrate, and magnesium sulphate spans 20%, 16% and 9.8% magnesium across three grades. A quote against the wrong one is worse than no quote.
If you do not know which grade you need, say what you are making and we will tell you. That is a better use of an email than a guess.
Give it in the unit you buy in, whether that is kilograms, bags or tonnes. Quantity changes price, so a quote given without one is provisional at best. If you are asking about a trial first and a running quantity afterwards, say both — they are different questions and we would rather answer both than have you compare a trial price against a contract price later.

A customer specification, a tender requirement, an internal standard, a limit on a particular impurity. Send it. We would far rather read it at the enquiry stage and tell you plainly whether we can meet it than discover the mismatch after material has shipped.
A price, the packing, and the documents that travel with the consignment. The signed Material Safety Data Sheet is sent with the quotation, and a batch certificate of analysis travels with the goods.
We will not quote a grade we cannot supply, and we will not confirm a specification we have not read. If your requirement is outside what we make, we will say so rather than take the order and work it out afterwards.
