Percent, ppm, mg/kg and g/L, converted in every direction, so a specification written in one unit can be checked against a figure quoted in another.
1% w/w = 10,000 ppm = 10,000 mg/kg. Converting to or from g/L needs the density of the solution, because g/L is per litre and the others are per kilogram; the field defaults to 1.000 kg/L, which is water and is only an approximation for anything else. Put in the real density if the figure matters. This is unit arithmetic and nothing more.
